Ear training is a very important and often neglected area of a musicians studies. The sooner you start training your ears the better off you will be. Find CDs and ear training software to help you. Study it with a friend or music teacher. You only need to work on ear training for 10 minutes a day to make considerable progress, but it is important to not skip a day of practice!
